Meanwhile, in the bustling streets of Edo-era Japan, a city official named Hiroto observed a peculiar incident. A woman dropped her exquisite hair comb, a treasure of Edo's elite, on the crowded street. Before Hiroto could retrieve it, a peculiar basket priest snatched it up and stealthily pursued the woman to her house. Curiosity piqued, Hiroto trailed the mysterious priest, observing his every move. To his surprise, the priest stared intently through the woman's door before defiantly discarding the comb into the nearby river. Peering into the woman's residence, Hiroto caught sight of her in the arms of another man. Enraged by the betrayal, Hiroto impulsively picked up a handful of rocks and hurled them into the turbulent river after the comb. As the stones splashed into the water, disrupting its calm surface, Hiroto's emotions mirrored the tumult within him.
